Like an old family recipe, Molly Gee’s creations are handmade with a
dash of whimsy and a heaping load of passion. Much the same, her love
of sewing was passed down through the generations and reinforced by her
grandmother. With wide-eyes and an ever-expanding sense of wonder,
Molly Gee has married inspiration from childhood stories like Peter Pan
and Willow with an innate sense of elegance and a charm that is
magnetic.
Born and raised in calm and collected Madison, Mississippi, Molly Gee briefly sought out the electricity and disarray of Brooklyn, New York. There, she spent a year cultivating her craft while working for an up-and-coming fashion house and developing a unique, but refined edge to her classic sense of style. After the economy forced the company to close, Molly Gee decided to move back to Mississippi and set out on her own: inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit prevalent on her father’s side of the family which includes a florist, rocking chair maker, and watercolor painter Wyatt Waters. The always-pulsating energy and eccentricity of the city continues to push Molly Gee to tirelessly bring new pieces to life, while the comfort of the South adds an air of timeless ease to every creation.
When several close friends asked Molly Gee for custom-made wedding veils, she quickly jumped at the opportunity to apply her love of hopeless romance to her rapidly growing design business. All bridal accessories are intricately tailored to every bride’s desire. Fingers at the ready, every style is handcrafted from vintage materials, collected designer fabrics, and a wide variety of embellishments both new and old. Molly Gee designs will add an unbeatable pop of style for any special occasion or everyday wear.
